Michael Marsack · Growth & GTM EngineeringI build products that grow themselves.

The next internet won't be browsed. It'll be asked. Most companies hire one person to build the product and another to grow it. I've been both: real-time AI features and the growth engine behind them at a personal AI company, 30,000+ users at under $30 each. Paid acquisition, referral loops and in-app moments people want to share, wired to analytics you can trust.

  • 30K+Users acquired

Act I · What I'm best at

Pick a skill. Watch it work.

Skill 1 of 4

Growth & acquisition

$2M+ in ad spend. 30,000+ users. Under $30 per acquired user and under $100 per engaged user, in a crowded consumer AI market. At Hello Haven I ran influencers alongside paid, built the referral program and its in-app UI, and built the marketing site and every landing page.

Act II · Try it

Don't take my word for it. Run the numbers.

Three small, live models of how I think. Change the inputs and watch what moves.

Users a month
Blended cost per user

$30 per paid user is my number from Haven. Creator cost and the referral rate are yours to set; every market prices attention differently.

Act III · My story

Competitor. Operator. Founder. Builder.

  1. Roots

    Raised to own the outcome

I grew up in a family of blue-collar business owners where the standard was simple: figure it out, or let me do it. Dinner doubled as a staff meeting. So I figured it out, and I still do. I take the problem, not just the task, and when something is beyond me I learn it fast or call the person in my network who has already solved it.

  2. Competitor

    Division I javelin

I threw javelin for Duke, which means I spent four years trying to throw a spear farther than strangers while a man with a tape measure wrote it down. In Division I track every throw is measured and every result is public, so you learn to train for the one number that matters and to own it in the open. If it's not hard, it's not worth doing.

  3. 2021 to 2023

    Operator

I came into technology through operations. At Word On The Block I went from Head of Operations to COO in nine months, then ran operations as fractional COO of Salesa AI, an AI outbound sales product. Operations shows you what engineers rarely see: where the money goes, where the customers leave, and which problems decide whether the company lives.

  4. 2022 to now

    Founder

I founded Martech Studios and acquired a micro SaaS. I've closed $750K+ in sales personally and built the technology and marketing systems for companies that have raised $25M+ combined, across 50+ projects. Fifty launches teach the same lesson fifty ways: the product that wins is the one people understand in a minute.

  5. 2026

    Building personal AI

As Director of Growth Engineering at Hello Haven, a personal AI company valued at over $50 million, I owned both halves of the problem: the product, with real-time vision and live calls, and the growth engine that brought in 30,000+ users at under $30 each. I learned what it takes for people to let an AI into their everyday life. It has to be simple, and it has to earn trust.

  6. Next

The interface that acts for you

Software is changing from something you operate into something that acts for you. Most of it will be clumsy or creepy. The companies that win will make it feel as simple as a text message and as trustworthy as a friend. That's the problem I want to spend the next decade on, with people who feel the same pull.

Act IV · The work

The work behind the numbers.

That's the work. Let's talk about yours.

Act VI · How I work

How I work

  • Build the moment people share

Products spread through moments worth showing someone. I build those in, so every user brings the next one.

  • Fewest clicks to aha

Every click is a chance to lose someone. Sign-up lives on the landing page and works for everyone. Getting there takes hard cuts.

  • 10 who love it beat 1,000 who don't mind

Love spreads. Okay doesn't. I build for the 10.

  • Listen, then cut

Customers rarely tell you what to add. Listen hard enough and they tell you exactly what to remove.

  • Less is more

Charles Perrow showed that complex, tightly coupled systems fail in ways nobody predicts. So I cut parts, steps, screens and data until nothing is left to confuse anyone.

  • Taste is the job now

Anyone can build anything now. The work is deciding what deserves to exist and what it should feel like. That's taste, and it's the job.

On a team

What I'm like to work with.

  • Lead it or row it

I've run a company's operations as COO and I've been the guy in the trenches at 2 a.m. Hand me the whole thing or hand me a piece of it. Both get done, and I won't make it weird about which one.

  • Nobody has to ask

If it's broken and nobody owns it, congratulations, I own it now. I take the problem, not the ticket.

  • Sprints, then another sprint

My best work came in short pushes with a finish line: pick the target, go hard, ship, read the numbers, go again. Marathons are for people who like meetings.

  • Competitive as hell

I threw javelin for a Division I program. I physically cannot not keep score. Give me a number to beat and I'll be checking it before coffee.

  • Sharp teams only

Fewer meetings, more demos, decisions by Friday. If your team ships like that, we'll get along fast. If it doesn't yet, that's a project I'd enjoy.

  • Make the business part easy

Billing, support, onboarding, reporting: the boring stuff every company runs on. I build it so it runs itself, and the team gets to spend its hours on the interesting part.

How I teach a product

Teach inside the product. Everything else is a fallback.

Use the highest rung you can. Each step down reaches fewer people.

  1. Interactive guides with videoTeach inside the product, at the moment someone needs it.
  2. No interactive guide? Make videos.Show the exact clicks.
  3. No videos? Write posts with pictures.Screens, arrows, one task per post.
  4. No pictures? Write one very specific post.Answer one question completely.
  5. Nothing at all?Then you don't have a business.
Act VII · What you get

What your team gets.

  • A paid engine you can read

Cost per user by channel, every week, with the losers killed on schedule. $2M+ managed at under $30 a user.

  • Creators and video, in-house

Influencers, UGC creators, a production team and the ad network of your choice, hired and directed by me.

  • A referral loop inside the product

The moment people already screenshot, made one tap, and the in-app UI that drives it. Built at Haven.

  • Attribution you trust

Every click tagged, every sign-up tied to its source, before a dollar goes to ads.

I learn fast, decide faster, and when I'm wrong I say so first.

Finale · Let's talk

Got something hard? Let's build it.

Software is about to start acting for people, and someone has to build the version they trust. I want a long run on a product like that, hard and worth it, on a sharp team that keeps score and likes a sprint, with people who've stayed up until 2 a.m. on something because they couldn't put it down.
